12 Movie Sequels You Didn't Know Were Coming

10. Wedding Crashers 2

Lethal Weapon 5
New Line Cinema

Wedding Crashers came out in 2005 and instantly proved to be a fan favourite. A comedy in which Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn crash weddings in order to fulfil their bachelor lifestyle, the film was a big hit at the box office and talks of a sequel were quickly put into action.

But nothing came to light, and for years it was only a rumour that would probably never come true.

Until now, that is. At the end of 2020, it was reported that Wilson and Vaughn were in talks to reprise their roles in the long-anticipated sequel, with David Dobkin directing.

According to Vince Vaughn, the main reason a sequel was never ordered was because he and Wilson never liked the stories that were being suggested. With that in mind, fans can assume the sequel is going to be lots of fun if it's managed to win their approval after 16 years. Here's to hoping co-stars Isla Fisher and Rachel McAdams return, too.

I get to write about what I love, so that's pretty cool. Every great film should seem new every time you see it. Be excellent to each other.
