12 Movie Sequels You Didn't Know Were Coming

The original Jackass TV series and films had an initial shock value that let us all have a good laugh at Johnny Knoxville and his crew's antics. The growing popularity of YouTube and other streaming services saw a cavalcade of imitators which proved just as entertaining as anything the Jackass crew could produce, and seemingly spelt an end to the franchise's mega success. The announcement of a fourth Jackass movie has been made however, which will likely give Jackass diehards excited, even if the general viewing public are likely to be non plussed.

The film will be a more 'traditional' Jackass movie, which is a shame considering the success and improved quality of the last Jackass 'spinoff'. Johnny Knoxville's hidden camera antics in Bad Grandpa was a surprising return to form, proving to be a genuine good laugh throughout. The concentration on humorous scenarios over 'funny' stunts was a welcome change, with Knoxville and young up and comer Jackson Nicoll displaying great on screen chemistry.

While it looks we will need to wait a bit longer for a Bad Grandpa sequel, the wait for Jackass 4 isn't too far away, with a scheduled July 2 2021 release. Jeff Tremaine and Spike Jonze are returning as Director and Screenwriter respectively for what one would think will be a franchise finale, with this cast anyway. As star Johnny Knoxville noted, the Jackass gang aren't getting any younger!
