3. A Battlestar Galactica Movie Is In The Works

Shortly after the acclaimed 2004-2009 Syfy series came to an end, there was talk about Battlestar Galactica getting its own movie, with Bryan Singer reportedly even expressing interest in directing. However, word on the project largely dried up and most assumed that too much time had probably passed for it to come to fruition. Though nothing is known about who might write or direct, or how closely it'll incorporate characters and scenarios from the series, mega-producer Michael De Luca is moving forward with the film, so we'll likely hear more about it soon. It's easy to be cynical about the project as simply another example of Hollywood's laziness, but if it finds a new angle to approach familiar material, there's every chance it could be a solid sci-fi jaunt.
