7. Cate Blanchett Is MCU's Death... Sort Of
After last month's news that Cate Blanchett was in talks to join the cast of Thor: Ragnarok Geek.com, have claimed that Cate Blanchett will be portraying Hela, the Asgardian Goddess of Death. She's a big deal in the comics, commanding an army of the dead, and it seems she will team up with Loki to take over Asgard. Additionally, it seems she will actually also replace Lady Death in the Infinity War storyline as the object of Thanos' love (and who he tries to impress by killing most of the bloody universe). It's not confirmed yet, but it fits with Blanchett's previous role as Galadriel in Lord Of The Rings, so it's hard not to get excited. Meanwhile, Mark Ruffalo has also likened Thor Ragnarok to a brilliant classic movie...
