3. Power Rangers Will Be A Comedy... At Least Partly

Good news: the Power Rangers movie isn't going to be taking itself too seriously, if the casting of Elizabeth Banks is any indication. The comedy actress will be playing shrill, angry villain Rita Repulsa for the Lionsgate nostalgia fest. Inevitably, that's going to draw some accusations of white washing, as she's the first white actress to play the character, but putting all politics aside it's good to see a big name star signing on to the project. It offers some validation at least. Expect something as odd as her performance in the Hunger Games movies, with similarly impressive headwear. Source.
