6. The New Spider-Man Movie Is Called... Spider-Man
Shooting on the new Spider-Man movie is expected to begin in June for a July 7, 2017 release, but what about the title? It's now been revealed in a press release for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 that the film will be called...Spider-Man. Yep. It's an almost hilariously unimaginative choice, and though there's a fair amount of optimism surrounding Marvel Studios' acquisition of the web-slinger, couldn't they have opted for something like The Spectacular Spider-Man or Ultimate Spider-Man? This just reeks of laziness.
