12 Movies That Will Slap Your Happy Mood Right In Its Face

4. Cannibal Holocaust (1980)

Unsurprisingly banned straight after the premiere, Cannibal Holocaust became instantly infamous when the director was arrested for making a snuff film and accused of actually killing his actors on set. Of course, the title doesn't leave much to the imagination and it is surprisingly quite a violent film despite its age, to the extent that it's still banned in a few countries. The basic plot - as it exists - is that a group of American filmmakers are making a documentary about indigenous cannibal tribes in the Amazon Rainforest. One thing leads to another and the tribe pretty much eats a few of them, kills a few of them and the women are left for worse. The Face Slap Moment: Watching people impaled on wooden poles is never going to be pleasant.
