Arguably the greatest thing John Travolta has ever done with his life, this is a musical that everyone and their mom should see. Perhaps this is one that is best broken down into specific reasons to watch: 1. John Travolta dancing on a car. 2. John Travolta dancing at a high school dance. 3. John Travolta dancing with Olivia Newton-John. 4. John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John flying away in a car together at the end of the movie (if that final scene doesn't make you want to watch it again immediately, you're a crazy person). I understand that it's weird that so many of the reasons have to do with John Travolta, but it's just so great watching him do his thing. The story of Grease has been reenacted in countless middle school plays for a good reason - it's great. All the girls welcoming the new girl into their friend group, the too-cool-for-school guys dealing with peer pressure, and the troubled summer lovin' when high school starts up again. I will recommend this movie for any occasion, but specially for the occasion of being home sick from work (nut don't sing along if you have a sore throat, that can only make things worse).
