7. Paul Rudd As Ant-Man
The casting of Paul Rudd as Scott Lang was met with quite negative reactions, but they were frankly uncalled for. It's quite hard to convince people that he's the right man for the job - not least because most people have never heard of the Scott Lang version of the Ant-Man character - but Lang is a loveable rogue and Rudd's got that down to a T. More to the point, Kevin Feige's convinced by him and that's good enough for most fans:
When Edgar Wright came to us with the idea of Paul Rudd, we felt a huge sense of relief because the first step in creating any Marvel Studios film is finding the right star. We knew early on that we had found the right person in Paul. When he not only agreed to do it, but became as enthusiastic as any actor wed ever met with about doing the work, we knew wed found the right guy. We couldnt be more excited for our audiences to see what hes going to do to bring Ant-Man to life.
An enthusiastic Rudd bodes very well for a character that he is actually very well suited to.
