12 Most Perfect Castings In Upcoming Comic Book Movies
6. Chadwick Boseman As Black Panther
Chadwick Boseman was revealed as the man who would play Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe when Marvel Studios hosted a special event back in October to reveal the movie schedule for Phase 3. The 38 year old joined the likes of Robert Downey, Jr. and Chris Evans on stage to introduce the line-up and his casting was rightly met with cheers from the attending fans and press. The talented actor will be the first leading black hero in the franchise and his versatility - he has played baseball player Jackie Robinson and soul singer James Brown on screen in 42 and Get On Up respectively - will be a great asset to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. His role as Robinson in particular shows that he can adeptly play a character who strives to realise an ideal and then triumphs over adversity - and that's exactly what Black Panther is all about.
