3. Iron Man 4

In honesty, it would be a lot less expensive for Marvel to keep Robert Downey Jr as a background and supporting figure in other MCU films rather than convincing him to do another stand-alone, but it does feel like there's unfinished business in the Iron Man arc.

Though the extremely questionable rumours of Shane Black "confirming" a fourth Iron Man film is in the works should probably be dismissed off-hand, the revelation of the "real" Mandarin in the Trevor Slattery One Shot leaves the possibility of a final movie wide open.

And regardless of how expensive RDJ would be, the $1.22bn return on Iron Man 3 should be reason enough for Marvel to get someone to write that script.

Likelihood

Unfortunately at this present moment, another stand-alone Iron Man movie looks pretty unlikely. But then another movie with Robert Downey Jnr in other than Avengers 2 and 3 looked impossible after Iron Man 3, and Spider-Man: Homecoming is getting ever closer to release.

Obviously there will be some suggestion that RDJ would be too old in 2020 to play Tony Stark, but he's currently over 50 and looks significantly better than about 95% of the fanboys who cast aspersions on his suitability.
