6. The Punisher

It's something of a miracle that anyone is even remotely committed to the Punisher brand after three failed movies, but it says a lot about the strength of the character and the underlying belief among fans that he's just been mishandled so far.

With the character reborn for Daredevil's second season and getting his own spin-off, he's set to be one of the most popular MCU characters in the very near future. But could that see him called up to the big time?

Likelihood

At the minute, a hell of a lot slimmer than it should be.

And though DC are generally considered to be the reactive partner in the rivalry, it would make sense for Marvel to look to the good publicity Fox have got from green-lighting an R-Rated Deadpool, DC have seen for Suicide Squad and their own success with Daredevil and incorporate it into the MCU.

Sadly though it's probably a bit of a fantasy.
