12. Rambo Started Killing People
Yes, First Blood introduced the Rambo brand, but it wasnt until three years later that the hard-wired, granite-jawed military machine started really opening a can of his patented whup-ass. The first movie had just one kill as it wrestled with more complex ideas about post-traumatic stress disorder and military institutionalism set against the toxic influence of corrupt small town law enforcement. It was great, but it wasnt what you remember Rambo for. By 1985, he was back in the killing business, ramping up his kill count from 1 to 69, a massive percentage increase (and the first step to his unfathomable 200 plus count in John Rambo. And a great film cliche was born.
