12 Reasons 1985 Was The Most Important Movie Year Ever

11. That OTHER Michael J Fox Movie Came Out

Teen Wolf is not a good movie. It€™s a teen horror comedy released in a year that was the definition of a mixed bag for horror, with authentically hilarious make-up effects and one infamous scene in which an extra appears to be caught playing with herself in the background. Despite everything - including the performance by Fox, who is badly restricted by the terrible material that would be boring if it wasn€™t hysterically dumb - the film made a massive $80m from its tiny budget (all of which must have been spent on beard glue). It is the definition of a cult gem, unfeasibly charming despite its awfulness and capable of inspiring misty eyed memories that transcend almost everything about it.
