12 Reasons Movies Were Better When You Were Younger

1. A Child's Imagination Is A Wonderful Thing

If there's anything most people miss about being kids, it's that sheer, unbridled sense of imagination. To that end. kids don't disseminate movies in the same way that adults do, with their impressionable nature allowing them to be easier transported into worlds that adults might rightly scoff at. Cases in point, plenty of kids loved movies adults hated, like John Carter along with an annual glut of naff animated movies, because their untapped imagination, something which closes off once the real world sets in later in life, runs amok, and they may truly believe that such worlds can exist. If only we could all be so lucky. Again, it shouldn't be confused with low standards: a child's mind is simply more receptive to world-building that adults, in all of their cynicism, can't quite click with. Why do you think movies were better in your youth? Or do you disagree? Shout it out in the comments!
