Unlike many of the "great" films of yesterday, Casablanca is as popular today as it was when it was released. It was, and maybe still is, the most-replayed movie on American television. Another demonstration of its popularity is seen at college campuses all over America. There is a long-standing tradition (started in 1957 at Brattle Theatre in Harvard Square in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA) of showing Casablanca during university finals. These showings are nearly always sold out.
