12. Ralph Breaks The Internet

Scraping past Green Book by a nose is Ralph Breaks the Internet, which was nominated for the Best Animated Film Oscar this year, though of course lost it to the effortlessly superior Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

But the truth is that Wreck-It Ralph 2 is a pretty standard issue animated sequel and doesn't really measure up to the brilliance of its 2012 predecessor. Ralph Breaks the Internet is certainly good, but not a whole lot more than that.

The fact that it's still held in higher critical regard than this year's Best Picture winner - albeit barely - is a pretty telling statement. A decent animated sequel is better than the Academy's "best film" pick. Right.
