12. Demolition Man - Arnold Schwarzenegger The Politician

Warner Bros.

When the writers of Demolition Man scripted a throwaway joke about the Schwarzenegger Presidential Library, little did they know that just over a decade later the Terminator star would be sworn in as the 38th Governor of California.

As longtime rivals in their battle for supremacy in the action genre, Sylvester Stallone would have likely known full well about his counterpart's interest in politics, and was no doubt more than happy to throw a jab in his direction as part of the exchange.

While Arnie never did get the chance to run for President, he still served over seven years as the leader of one of the world's largest economies, and if the government had been willing to change the legislation in his favor then there's every chance he would have ended up with the top job eventually.

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
