Lone Survivor has a title suggesting only one person is going to make it, somewhat spoilerifically. That€™'s inescapable, especially as it€™'s based on a true life memoir, but ahead of release we didn't know who was going to make it. So would the inclusion of the rest of the marine squad on the one-sheet really have messed up the marketing strategy?

The name says it all; only one shall survive, but that doesn't mean we have to miss out on the excitement of getting to that point, or have some of the film's resolution preserved for us. What danger will they face? What personal triumphs will they overcome? How will the shrinking group cope?

But where was the element of surprise for the audience, when the poster revealed that that survivor is in fact Mark Wahlberg? Some movie fans dally with the idea of watching a movie without a poster having informed them of what'€™s essentially the crux of the film.
