12 Stupid Film Posters That Totally Spoiled The Movie

8. The Amazing Spider-Man 2

Sony

Sony'€™s preferred technique for marketing methods has thus far included revealing huge, huge chunks of their films prior to release and hoping that everyone will still be interested enough to fill in the gaps when the film comes to the cinema. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was the subject of much fan rumblings on this topic (and wound up as the lowest box office return of all the Spidey films).

One savvy fan even cobbled together a 25-minute chronological cut of all the clips Sony had released into a mini version of the then-unreleased blockbuster, proving how silly the approach was. Two days prior to the first trailer release, a teaser poster surfaced, which didn€™'t really tease so much as outright show all of the main villains, one at that point under wraps, in a series of images dotted across the poster.

For a superhero franchise that thrives on its loyal fanbase - could there not have been a few surprises left intact, so when Spidey€™'s followers entered the cinema they wouldn'€™t already know the Green Goblin was going to make an appearance.
