And talking of the Man Of Steel and God-like feats of strength, that's precisely what it would have taken for a key plot point in the final (hopefully) Hangover film. The plot hinges on the fact that Chow has stolen half of the spoils of a heist from John Goodman, totalling $21 million dollars in gold bars (which later doubles when he tricks the Wolfpack into stealing the other half for him) which he carries around in his two bags. So that's more than $10 million worth of gold bars, which would equate to more than 20 bars, and thus more than 500 pounds (or a standard sumo wrestler) in each bag.
