12 Talented Actors Who Just Made 3 Bad Movies In A Row

5. Gerard Butler

You may scoff at the suggestion that Gerard Butler is indeed a talented actor, but he most certainly is. He's charismatic in roles that seek a dark edge, he's a good action lead and he's capable of comedic timing too. He doesn't often show these things - and rarely do they all coincide in one performance - but he's definitely more than his acting work recently suggests of him.

The last few years have been particularly rough for him in terms of the quality of his output and his last three, starting with 2017's painfully hilarious Geostorm (it didn't intend to be, obviously) and going through the mind-numbingly boring Den Of Thieves to the generic Hunter Killer.

He's not particularly bad in any of them, it's just that he's lost in bad material. And anyone would struggle when it's all this bad.
