12 Terrible 2017 Movies "Snubbed" By The Razzies
7. Jigsaw
Though there was a lot of hope from Saw fans that Jigsaw might revitalise the franchise after the main series ended with 2010's Saw 3D, the eighth entry into the series is sadly one of its worst.
Toning down the franchise's signature gore significantly while lazily recycling two plot twists from prior films and failing to provide a compelling reason for its own existence - beyond money, of course - Jigsaw is a cynical misfire, albeit one that made enough money to ensure a sequel will be on the way soon enough.
To the film's mild credit there are some creative visuals, so the Spierig Brothers' directing job wasn't worth a nomination, but on a pure creative level, this is totally bankrupt nonsense.
What It Should've Been Nominated For: Worst Picture, Worst Actor (Matt Passmore), Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-off or Sequel and Worst Screenplay.
