12 Terrible 2017 Movies "Snubbed" By The Razzies

6. Tulip Fever

Shot back in the summer of 2014 and finally released late last summer, Tulip Fever had all the makings of an Oscar-worthy prestige pic on paper, but thanks to an hysterically bad script, slack direction and talented actors left to tread water, this is another case of badly done Oscar bait.

Oscar winner Alicia Vikander struggles to make sense of a movie that incredulously casts her opposite Dane DeHaan for perhaps the most unconvincing romantic pairing of any 2017 movie.

Elsewhere a bizarrely-accented Zach Galifianakis is distractingly out of place, and though the film has its share of accidental laughs, in serious filmmaking terms it's an utter disaster.

What It Should've Been Nominated For: Worst Picture, Worst Director (Justin Chadwick), Worst Actor (Dane DeHaan), Worst Actress (Alicia Vikander), Worst Supporting Actor (Christoph Waltz), Worst Supporting Actress (Cara Delevingne), Worst Screen Combo (Vikander and DeHaan as a couple) and Worst Screenplay.
