12 Terrible CGI Moments In High Budget Movies

2. What Happened To Superman's Face? - Justice League

Surely the most challenging of Justice League's many production woes was having to digitally remove Henry Cavill's moustache in post-production as the movie's re-shoots clashed with principal photography on Mission: Impossible - Fallout, which required him to keep a bushy hair-lip and decent face of stubble.

Sadly the results were stunningly unconvincing, and from that very first scene where Superman (Cavill) appears in low-fi phone footage, it's clear just how catastrophically this issue compromised the film's quality.

Though casual filmgoers may not have known about Justice League's troubled creation, they likely would've noticed that something was off about Cavill's face. Superman's mug frequently has a plastic-like look to it as both Cavill's upper lip and lower jaw had to be digitally reconstructed in many scenes.

Obviously the sensible decision would've been to shut down production and wait until Cavill was free - at considerable expense, admittedly - yet by attempting to push on regardless, that initial release of Justice League presented yet another reason for fans and critics to laugh at it.
