12 Terrible CGI Moments In High Budget Movies

1. The "Ultimate" Predator - The Predator

Shane Black's The Predator was a crushing disappointment on pretty much every level, and despite being by far the most expensive movie in the franchise with an $88 million price tag, its effects sadly looked decidedly worse than in the 1987 original.

To be completely fair, Black's film was aiming its sights on a much bigger and more ambitious scope, but sadly the VFX budget couldn't ever make the 11-foot tall "ultimate" Predator anything more than a garish, blurry, low-res abomination.

Granted, the creature is cloaked in darkness for the vast majority of the movie, likely an attempt to mask its poor visual fidelity, but even so, it ends up looking more like a video game character than a tactile, believable creature.

This is especially true during the climactic forest fight, where one can only assume the extensively re-shot and redesigned finale gave the effects team little time to construct a convincing antagonist.

For a film costing more than double that of 2010's Predators, it's shocking that the classic movie monster got such a chintzy reinvention. An ugly motherf***er indeed.

Which of these hideous big-budget CGI moments repulsed you the most? Shout them out in the comments!
