8. John Blake Inherits The Bat-Cave (The Dark Knight Rises)

The Dark Knight Rises concludes with Bruce faking his own death and running away to Florence with Selina Kyle (Anne Hathaway) to start anew, while the Batcave is gifted to the one idealistic, driven cop in Gotham worthy of the mantle: John Blake (Joseph Gordon-Levitt). Why Warner Want You To Forget This one's as simple as continuity. While it's clear that Batman v Superman marks a reboot for the character, more casual audiences may well not be aware of this, and might be confused as to how Bruce's re-appearance ties into the end of The Dark Knight Rises. As such, Warner will be desperate for fans to hopefully forget about TDKR, but considering that it's still fresh in the mind from having been released barely three years ago, it just doesn't seem very likely. Then again, maybe these casuals will just assume that Blake actually became Robin rather than Batman after that controversial namedrop in TDKR...
