12 Things You Learn Rewatching Avengers: Endgame
8. Nebula's First Ever Win
Throughout the MCU there are plenty of incredible duos that have stolen the show. Tony and Steve, Thor and Loki, Sam and Bucky to name but a few. Avengers: Endgame offered one more than no one could have expected to see before Infinity War, Tony Stark and Nebula.
The two were stuck on the Benatar together drifting in deep space, and in that time they built something of a strong relationship. They fixed the ship together, they survived together, and they passed the time together. The latter came in the form of a game of paper football.
Of course, Tony taught Nebula the game as they went along. Knowing her childhood and what Thanos put her through, not only had she never played a game of paper football before, she probably had never even played a game. All she had was the fights with Gamora she was forced into, and the subsequent tinkering that came of her inevitable losses.
When she beat Tony however, she was clearly taken aback. This wasn't because it was fun, or because she cared about the game, it was likely, and heartbreakingly, because this was the first time she actually ever won anything.
