12 Things You Learn Rewatching Avengers: Endgame
4. Hank Pym Mourns A Stark
Though everyone came together to battle Thanos, there are some good guys in the MCU who have never gotten along. Tony and Bucky for obvious reasons, Thor and Star-Lord have never quite seen eye to eye, and even the Avengers in general couldn't help fighting each other to begin with.
One good guy that has his fair share of enemies is Hank Pym. Pig-headed, stubborn and arrogant, it's hard to like him at the best of times, and when he came face-to-face with Howard Stark, a man who also shared all these qualities, a rivalry started that would last for years.
He spent a lot of his life keeping his Pym Particles out of Stark's hands, and this hatred passed down to Tony, even after Howard's death. Hank told Scott never to trust a Stark, and yet, when Tony sacrificed himself, Hank was there with everyone else to pay his respects.
Tony's funeral was attended by all the biggest characters in the franchise, so it would be easy to overlook Pym, and just what it meant for him to be there. Even someone as famously stubborn as Hank could respect the hero, despite never really liking the man.
