11. The Madagascar Chase Is The Perfect Introduction To Craig's Bond

The Madagascar chase sequence that opens the movie is arguably one of the best set-pieces in the entire Bond canon and an absolutely genius way to introduce Daniel Craig's rebooted 007 to audiences.

As Bond chases down bomb maker Mollaka (Sébastien Foucan), director Martin Campbell does a fantastic job telling us much about Bond through actions rather than words.

Mollaka is too fast for 007, but the spy can use his cunning and strength to cut corners, finding short-cuts his adversary wouldn't ever consider.

For those who chided Craig pre-release for lacking the necessary stature for Bond, his electrifying, ruthless physicality here easily shut them up. And murdering Mollaka in cold blood before blowing the African consulate to hell probably didn't hurt either.
