12 Things You Learn Rewatching Casino Royale

8. The Product Placement Is Just Ridiculous

From the Brosnan era onwards, the Bond films have doubled down on the rampant product placement, and perhaps no movie in the franchise is quite so shameless about it as Casino Royale.

With Sony Pictures co-producing the film, naturally it features a ton of shilling for Sony products, with Sony VAIO laptops and Sony Ericsson phones visible in a ghastly number of scenes.

That's not to forget the many, many vehicles whose emblems are strategically placed within the frame, nor various alcohol name-drops, and of course, the cringe-worthy moment where Vesper (Eva Green) asks Bond about his Rolex watch, and he corrects her that it's an Omega.

As brilliant as the movie is, they really could've done with toning it all down a bit.
