9. Every Female Character Is Terrible

There have been some awful Bond girls over the years, but Diamonds Are Forever is distinguished by the fact it doesn't present a single compelling or even remotely effective female character.

The main Bond girl is Tiffany Case (Jill St. John), who while fulfilling the aesthetic expectations of the female lead, isn't at all interesting and is probably best remembered for Bond slipping a cassette tape down her bikini bottoms.

Then there's Plenty O'Toole, by far one of the all-time worst Bond girls, both because she's little more than a pair of breasts, and the fact she's performed quite horribly by Lena Wood (sister of Natalie). It doesn't help that her name's atrocious and provokes Bond to drop the terrible one-liner, "Named after your father, perhaps." Christ.

That's not to forget the infamous Bambi and Thumper (Lola Larson and Trina Parks), two hyper-athletic bodyguards who briefly give Bond some trouble, until he takes them for a dip. Awful.

And finally, even poor old Miss Moneypenny (Lois Maxwell) comes across as a bit of a dick this time, again fawning over Bond and desperate for his affection even though the guy's wife just got murdered. Granted, Bond seems to have moved on fairly quickly himself, but still...
