It's always fun to watch older movies with new eyes and be surprised by who randomly shows up in them, and GoldenEye features an exceptionally bizarre, out of place cameo from the lovely Minnie Driver.

Driver shows up in the movie for a few scattered second as Irina, Valentin's Russian mistress and nightclub singer, whose delivers a rendition of "Stand By Your Man" so ear-splittingly bad that Bond likens it to someone "strangling a cat".

Though GoldenEye was released two years before Driver broke through to the mainstream with her Oscar-nominated turn in Good Will Hunting, it's still incredibly weird to see her taking such a nothing role.

The actress reportedly took the part because she was broke, and for her efforts earned $5,000. Not bad for what was presumably a day's work at most.
