12 Things You Learn Rewatching Quantum Of Solace

7. Camille Montes Is An Intriguing Yet Underused Bond Girl

When Olga Kurylenko was cast as the female lead in Quantum, there was justifiable fan scepticism considering her rather lacking screen credits and the justifiable presumption the producers had merely cast a model rather than an actual actress.

As it turned out, Kurylenko gave a rock solid performance as one of the more intriguing recent Bond girls, Camille Montes.

Though she has the hardship of following Vesper Lynd's (Eva Green) lead and the movie idiotically keeps her off-screen for most of the second act, she's an uncommonly strong, tortured Bond girl who can stand toe-to-toe with 007.

She's got a brutal backstory and her quest for revenge poetically mirrors Bond's own, but the real clincher here is that she doesn't even sleep with Bond when it's all said and done.

This makes their relationship a little purer and more interesting, even if her introduction into the plot is a tad convoluted and, again, more could've been done with her overall.
