12 Things You Learn Rewatching The Man With The Golden Gun

8. The Third Nipple Subplot Is Insanely Goofy

Perhaps the silliest subplot in the entire film is the whole "superfluous papilla" debacle, whereby Bond learns that Scaramanga has a third nipple, and in order to impersonate him, must wear one himself, presumably cobbled together by poor old Q (Desmond Llewelyn).

It's certainly one of the sillier and less impressive - but also most memorable - "grotesque affectations" of any Bond villain, if only because it's so common among the general population (1 in 18 people has one). Plus, there's even a ridiculous line about a third nipple being a sign of "invulnerability and sexual prowess." Right...

As far as tone-deaf Bond moments go, though, at least it's pretty harmless and inoffensive.
