12 Things You Learn Rewatching The World Is Not Enough

2. "Welcome To My Nuclear Family" Might Be The Lamest Bond Villain Line Ever

More so than any other one-liner in the entire movie - yes, even THAT closing one - Renard's quip to Bond, "Welcome to my nuclear family", ranks up there with some of the worst dialogue in the whole Bond franchise.

Not merely content to be cheesy, it's a legitimately lame, wholly unimaginative line that doesn't even bring much menace or ferocity with it. Carlyle really tries to make it sing, but honestly, how much could he possibly do?

Given how Renard is generally depicted throughout the film as a humourless, insane savage, the line feels woefully out-of-place while he's busy beating the snot out of Bond, and might well pull the viewer right out of the scene.
