Though Goldeneye is often remembered as the only good Pierce Brosnan Bond film and Tomorrow Never Dies is often lumped in with The World Is Not Enough and Die Another Day, a rewatch does reveal it to be better than your mind probably tells you.

In part due to the increased real-world relevance of Carver's plot and a remarkable Michelle Yeoh performance you'd probably forgotten about, this is a slick, fun outing for 007 that ends up a suitably mid-tier franchise offering.

It's certainly not up there with the classics, but it's hardly plumbing the depths of Roger Moore's lamest offerings or, gasp, the soul-destroying dullness of Connery's Diamonds Are Forever.

It's not quite the electrifying follow-up to Goldeneye fans were hoping for, but it's a totally serviceable, moderately enjoyable piece of escapist entertainment regardless.

What's your verdict on Tomorrow Never Dies? How does it hold up? Shout it out in the comments!
