2. Con Air

Nic Cage has made a lot of bad movies that people have no problem with calling him out about. He's been the personification of a paycheck actor for some years, grossly misusing his obvious talents and trading more on a brand that suggests he's willing to just be unhinged in movies rather than great.

But ask even his biggest modern critics what their favourite Cage movie is and they'll invariably choose something that would be legitimately terrible in another actor's hands, like Face-Off or Con Air. And the latter is one of the greatest examples of a trash blockbuster that absolutely transcends its own limitations.

The script is diabolical, the acting (especially from Cage's hair) is very poor and it drips with cheese, but it's very much the case of several wrongs somehow making a right.
