9. Clouseau Vs. Cato - The Pink Pather Strikes Again
A running joke of the Peter Sellers' starring Pink Pather franchise is that Inspector Clouseau (Sellers) will have his manservant Cato (Burt Kwouk) attack him at the least likely times to help Clouseau maintain a constant state of alertness. The fifth instalment of the series, The Pink Panther Strikes Again, finds Clouseau settling down for a peaceful night's rest only to have Cato ambush him. A hilarious apartment-destroying battle ensues employing an array of weapons. A bow-staff explodes a television. Clouseau breaks a pair of nunchuks over Cato's head. The opponents appear evenly matched until the devious Clouseau orders Cato to answer the phone so he can cheap-shot the unsuspecting manservant in the back of the head with a Shinai (wooden kendo practice sword). Cato and Clouseau's pointless, self-destructive battle earns its place on the list because the pair play their head-smashing frenzy for laughs.
