12 Unconfirmed (But 100% Happening) Upcoming Movies

Wolverine? KOTOR? Definitely on the way...

Wolverine Cyclops Jean Grey
Marvel Comics

No matter how bad things get, and boy they are pretty bad now, one of the things that does make us look forward to the future are movies. Upcoming blockbusters featuring our favorite characters and stories will always remain a source of joy. And regardless of the current holdup, both movie studios and the rumor mill are motoring on with their future projects.

Which brings us to the movies that although have not yet been officially confirmed, but are pretty much certain to happen. Some of these are re-debuts of iconic characters and teams following certain mergers. Others have been in the pipeline for quite some time and only now are nearing the light of day.

Of course it goes without saying this list will be a little MCU heavy, owing to both the characters now available to Marvel Studios courtesy of the Disney-Fox merger and the vast catalogue of Marvel characters that fans are desperate to see on screen. Although with that being said there’s still room for some other beloved franchises to creep in. Enough with the opening credits, let’s get straight to it.

These are 12 as of yet unconfirmed upcoming movies that are 100% happening.

12. Supergirl

Wolverine Cyclops Jean Grey
Warner Bros.

DC movies have been dividing fans and critics right down the middle, all throughout the last decade. There was the hatred towards Suicide Squad and Justice League, the showering of love for Aquaman, Wonder Woman and Shazam, and of course the bitterly contested fan vs critic wars over Dawn of Justice. Given all that it’s no surprise that WB execs and DC studios are having a hard rethink over what to do next.

One movie that pretty much everyone expects to become a reality soon, is Supergirl. Originally it was expected the Girl of Steel would be flying into our screens by the turn of the decade, or at least we would be getting a clear announcement of when it could happen. The drama over Henry Cavill’s Superman somewhat threw a spanner in those works.

But, while those over at DC continue to squabble over their plans, you can still expect the Last Daughter of Krypton to be debuting on the big screen somewhere down the line.
