12 Unwatchable Horror Movies That Wasted Great Ideas

10. Alien Vs Predator

The Reaping
20th Century Fox

The clue is in the title here—even if the studio hadn’t hired space-based horror helmer Paul W.S Anderson, already responsible at this stage for the underrated sci-fi horror classic Event Horizon, any director could see the potential inherent in Alien Vs Predator, a face-off between the iconic xenomorph and Arnie’s nemesis, the eponymous human hunters.

That said, Anderson had also made the execrable Resident Evil film adaptation, so perhaps it’s no surprise that this interminably slow film took an hour to even reveal its monsters and sanitized the much needed action to earn an inexplicable PG-13 rating, ensuring the resulting flick was the most neutered and yawn-inducing of either monster franchise’s many cinematic outings.
