12 Villains Far Too Lame For The Marvel Cinematic Universe

11. Turner D. Century

First Appearance: Spider-Woman #33 Enemies: Spider-Woman, Spider-Man, Captain America Massive pun points for the name, but that is literally the only entertaining thing about this Marvel misfire. He is basically a grumpy old man that wants to kill anyone and everything that doesn€™t remind him of the good old days. Born Clifford F. Michaels, son of a millionaire€™s chauffeur, he was taught to idolise times before the so-called social decline. In his villain€™s costume (a terrifying tweed jacket and straw hat) he set about trying to do away with the entire population of the forward-thinking San Francisco using hyper-sonic weapons including a horn that would kill anyone under 65 years old. Needless to say, he was thwarted pretty easily, and ended being killed by The Scourge of the Underworld, a vigilante created by Marvel writer-editor Mark Gruenwald to get shot of all the villains he deemed too minor, redundant or ill-conceived. Turner D. Century should have been the first to go.
