12 Villains Who Must Appear In Affleck's Batman Movie

1. The Joker

Well, it's inevitable isn't it? Even with the cringe-worthy stories surrounding his method acting and behaviour on the Suicide Squad set, it does appear that Jared Leto will offer a Joker who is both haunting in his own right and also steeped into Batman lore.

With that in mind, there's no way Warner Bros will surrender the potential to bring him back: particularly after they initially planned to bring back Jack Nicholson's Joker for Batman Unchained and the rumours suggesting Heath ledger's Joker may also have reappeared. They should know by now that the Joker should be a long running presence, rather than an episodic one, and that killing him off after a single appearance would be brand-suicide.

Batman v Superman has already set up history between Batman and The Joker, and it would be crazy to think that Affleck's stand-alone won't return to that fan favourite friction. If - as expected - he killed Jason Todd, he still has a major role to play in reopening Batman's old wounds.
