12 Ways James Cameron Can Save The Terminator Franchise
10. R-Rated, All The Time
It's not a coincidence that the first three Terminator movies, easily the best of the five films to date, all have R ratings, while the latter two opted for PG-13 in a craven attempt to milk more money out of the series.
This approach has been hugely divisive with fans considering how endemic brutal violence was to the original two films in particular, and so Terminator 6 can certainly win fans back over if it defers to the more adult tone of the initial trilogy.
Will It Happen?: Considering that director Tim Miller's Deadpool is currently the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time worldwide, it would be monumentally stupid not to give him the same free rein here.
Plus, it's hard to imagine Cameron being so heavily involved with his baby once again if it was going the neutered studio action movie route. It'll almost certainly be rated-R.
