12 Worst Casting Decisions In Harry Potter Movies

4. Bonnie Wright As Ginny Weasley

The fiery redhead and future Mrs. Potter, where did it all go wrong for Bonnie Wright? While the rest of the Potter kids went on to bigger and better things, Wright has shied away from her childhood fame.

The biggest issue is the number zero - that is how much chemistry Daniel Radcliffe and Bonnie Wright had on the set of the Potter films. Admittedly you can't lay all the blame at the foot of the actors, but there was something off-kilter about the realness of the pair's relationship.

Over the course of seven books we saw Harry and Ginny develop a bond, whereas Wright struggled to get out of Ginny's nervous Potter-fan stage. Rowling herself has said:

"Harry and Ginny are real soulmates. They’re both very strong and very passionate. That’s their connection, and they’re remarkable together."

Huge problems come when you look at the earlier films, which were key to establishing the child actors. Although Wright appeared in all eight films, she has one line (and appeared for less than one minute) in Prisoner of Azkaban. Emma Watson has proven that she had the balls to be a leading lady, Wright sadly lacked what it needed to be the franchise's one true love.
