2. Arnim Zola Returns - Ant-Man

One of the most surprising revelations in the excellent The Winter Soldier saw the return of HYDRA scientist Arnim Zola as a computer programme, despite the questions that posed about computer technology in the 1950s. It's a comic book movie, don't think too hard.

That movie saw his supposed death, though it would have been very possible to explain him "surviving" by escaping via the Internet or something similar. And that idea was clearly entertained at one point during Ant-Man's development as an early version of the script was going to see him return.

He did have a small reappearance in What If...? Episode 8 where we saw Hawkeye and Black Widow use Zola to try and combat an alternate version of Ultron.
