3. Abomination Returns - Avengers: Age Of Ultron

Since everyone who likes to criticise the MCU will tell you, Marvel don't have enough good villains, so you'd think they'd take every opportunity to bring back any that might have more potential if their stories allowed it. They'd eventually go on to bring back Red Skull in Avengers Infinity War and Zemo in Falcon and The Winter Soldier but before that Villains (besides Thanos) were usually one and done appearances.

But in Avengers: Age Of Ultron, Tim Roth's Abomination was originally supposed to reappear, according to the actor himself:

“They were going to do it. They did do that. They were thinking, in The Avengers 2 or something. There was a movie we could do that at one point, but way back when. It just kind of got swept under the carpet I guess. That would be hilarious.”

How that would have gone remains unconfirmed, but it would have been great to see him used as part of Scarlet Witch's psychic manipulation scenes or unveiled as Ultron's secret weapon. They did of course eventually bring Abomination back for a small cameo in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, so at least we have that.
