The Pitch: A live-action adaptation of the legendary Hasbro board game, with Kevin Hart both starring and co-producing, while Tim Story (Fantastic Four, Ride Along) directs.

Plot details are scarce, but the film will apparently follow a boy from the game's Baltic Avenue attempting to make a fortune.

Will It Be Any Good?: Well, the script is co-written by Gattaca and The Truman Show's Andrew Niccol, but it's also fair to say that Niccol has been off his game for years, with recent duds like In Time, The Host and Anon.

Hasbro has been trying to get a Monopoly movie made for literally decades - and Ridley Scott nearly ended up making it a while back - but it's virtually impossible not to look at this project with a thick air of scepticism.

This is going to be a movie sold entirely on its brand identity, and throwing Kevin Hart in the mix surely can't hurt. Keep your expectations very low.
