6. Hunter

The Pitch: A thriller adapted from James Byron Huggins' 1999 sci-fi novel, in which an expert tracker (Sylvester Stallone) finds himself facing off against a mysterious beast deep in the Arctic circle.

Will It Be Any Good?: Curiously, Hunter was originally optioned by Stallone to serve as the plot for Rambo V (with the subtitle "The Savage Hunt"), but after fans understandably balked at the idea of John Rambo battling a supernatural monster, Sly instead opted to adapt the book in earnest.

Stallone clearly has a passion for the material and it fits him like a glove on paper, so it just depends on who he hires to write and direct the picture (assuming it isn't himself).

In the very least, it's preferable to the glut of straight-to-video action flicks Stallone tends to star in outside of his flagship franchises these days.
