5. Stoned Alone

The Pitch: A weed-themed "remake" of Home Alone, focused on a man (Ryan Reynolds) who misses his vacation flight, so gets super-baked at home only to find his house being besieged by thieves.

Indie filmmaker Augustine Frizzell (Never Goin' Back) will direct, while Kevin Burrows and Matt Mider (The Package) are writing the script.

Will It Be Any Good?: The concept's certainly funny enough, and Reynolds will probably ensure it's at least watchable. If it pushes the R-rating hard and includes plenty of goofy nods to its inspiration (perhaps a narcotic-inspired Macaulay Culkin cameo?), it could be a surprise low-key hit.
